Context
We have two centres in southeast Nigeria. One is in
Calabar where we have our administration offices, several primate
enclosures, education/visitors centre, permanent veterinary facilities
and volunteer accommodation. Our second centre is at Rhoko in the
Nigerian rainforest which is about 80 km away from Calabar and 8 km from
the village of Iko Esai. Position is based in Calabar, Cross River State
in the south-east of Nigeria. Cross River State has been developed for
tourism and is the last stronghold of true rainforest in Nigeria. There
are over 100 monkeys based in the city site and over 40 monkeys at our
bush site in Rhoko, 3 hours drive from Calabar. The position is mainly
based in Calabar with the occasional trip to Rhoko site, under
supervision of the Deputy Director. At present accommodation is provided
in the office building with a bedroom, toilet, shower, kitchen and
