MURPHY'S STORY: 'Murphy was approximately 6 months old when he was cruelly wrenched from his mother, who was illegally shot for meat. He is pictured here after his first taste of bottled milk shortly after his rescue--still looking traumatized and filthy, but no longer hungry and thirsty. Our night security called in to alert us. The team arrived to find a tiny mangabey drinking from a bowl of stagnant water. The monkey, who had been named “Murphy”, was not chained, but appeared very malnourished. It was a difficult negotiation, but successful in the end, and 'Murphy' came to CERCOPAN.
