Jerry at PASA in Columbus!

May 2009
This year PASA (Pan African Sanctuary Alliance) of which CERCOPAN is a charter member, celebrated its 10th anniversary by taking the manager's workshop out of Africa for the first time, in order to showcase the work of the sanctuaries to as large an audience as possible. Columbus Zoo kindly hosted and organized the event. PASA sponsored Jerry's travel and expenses to come and represent CERCOPAN management in his hew role as Acting Operations Manager - his first time out of Africa! It was an excellent chance for Jerry to meet and interact with other sanctuary managers, as well as potential funders. Jerry was additionally honoured when Doug Cress, PASA's Director, asked him to give a talk on the day of public presentations, about education programmes of PASA generally and CERCOPAN specifically. He gave an excellent talk in front of this international audience - opening as only Jerry can by singing the CERCOPAN song! We are hoping PASA can help us bring Jerry to the US once again in the autumn for a special fundraising tour.
